NASA Break the Ice Challenge


Excavator

During the brainstorming phase, the team needed to pick a mechanism that our robot would use to excavate the moon regolith. I led the setup of a ranking method based on several characterists that we agreed were important to the mission. After each individual cast their opinion, we were able to determine which excavator the group favored.

From there, we chose to use bucket drums since that had the highest total, and I mainly helped with getting the CAD of those up and running.
